Germanist, linguist with a focus on pragma- and sociolinguistics and glottodidactics. Awarded a doctoral degree at the University of Wrocław for a treatise on textual linguistics. Currently primarily concerned with issues of broadly defined multilingualism, including support and formative measures. Tutors future teachers of German as a foreign language and as the first national minority language. Initiator of the International “Mehrsprachigkeit als Chance” (Multilingualism as an Opportunity) Consortium of scientists and practitioners.
