Head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature Studies, scholar and revitaliser of the Lemko language and culture – and a representative of the Lemko community. Her scholarly interests extend to relations between literature and ethnicity, minority discourses, inter-cultural relations, and revitalisation of culture and endangered languages. Author of over 250 scientific publications, including monographic studies: Literatura łemkowska w drugiej połowie XIX i na początku XX w (Lemko Literature in the second half of the 19^th and early 20^th century); Między bukwą a literą. Współczesna literatura mniejszości białoruskiej, ukraińskiej i łemkowskiej w Polsce (Between Cyrillic and Latin Lettering. Contemporary Belarusian, Ukrainian and Lemko Literature in Poland); Treading Paths. Lemko Literature in the Years 1848-1918. Compiled the Kontekstualny słownik języka łemkowskiego (Contextual Dictionary of the Lemko Language).
